The system features a Delta series filter with an integrated fan and a multicoater unit that provides constant air flow over the life of the filter. The Delta design allows for 100% contamination-free performance with superfine dusts smaller than <1um. Find out more. A pressure drop triggers reverse jet-pulse to clear off dust. Eaton ( eaton.com ) has developed an electronically controlled fuel tank venting system that uses software to control the transmission of fuel vapors to a charcoal canister while keeping liquid fuel confined to the fuel tank. In operation, the eVaptive system vent points are opened and closed as needed for optimized venting via an actuator system. Any liquid fuel that enters the vent tubes is routed to a central liquid trap where it is drained back into the fuel tank. Once the vapor and the errant fuel are separated in the liquid trap, the vapor is routed to the charcoal canister for adsorption. Other features of the new system, which can be optimized for use for any vehicle platform, thereby eliminating the need to have specific systems for specific vehicles, include its abilities to maintain overall lower tank pressures both during dynamic situations and at high-fuel levels, to enable OBD II leak detection, and to replace fuel tank isolation valves (FTIVs). What's more, the eVaptive system can customize the pressure relief of the fuel tank as needed prior to refueling plug-in hybrid vehicles. Electronically Controlled Fuel Vapor Venting The eVaptive system: electronics and software for improved fuel tank venting. 20 GEAR
