One is a regular gas-electric hybrid and the other a plug-in. Both have a 1.6-liter, direct-injected, Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine, but the plug-in has a 45 kW (60 hp) motor and an 8.9 kWh battery pack that results in an all-electric range of approximately 27 miles.
