ON ELECTRONICS AD&P; > October 2013 > ON ELECTRONICS New Antenna Ofers MultipleBand Connectivity A new vehicle-mounted antenna—the Pulse Electronics (pulseelectronics.com) GPSDM700/5800SSS—aims to ensure smart phones connect inside cars regardless of the frequency needed to make a call, send a text, get directions, or browse the web. "Not only does it have full 3G capability, but it supports 4G LTE combined with WLAN and GPS in a very small package," said Paul Fadlovich, director of the wireless division at Pulse Electronics. q The new GPSDM700/5800SSS antenna by Pulse Electronics ofers multiple frequency bands including 4G and wireless connectivity. The antenna is 3.5 in. tall and 4.16 in. in diameter at its base. With 5-GHz bands for wireless applications, the antenna handles voice communications, mobile video data, fxed broadband, navigation, asset tracking, and feet management. There is a 700-MHz capability for public safety use, as well. the infinite possibilities of process control Eliminate measurement constraints with the new infinite positioning PH20 CMM touch trigger system. Using technologies developed for the multi-award winning REVO®, the new compact PH20 from Renishaw changes CMM touch-trigger probing forever, with fast, infnite, 5-axis positioning. PH20 reduces the effect of CMM dynamic errors by only moving the probe head and eliminating indexing for a 3-fold increase in throughput.
